Cotton becomes string, and the moral of the story is that you don't remember what happened is a book I wrote and designed about my grandmothers' battles with Alzheimers disease. I use physical materials to represent my relationship with my grandmothers as well as the feelings I have as I watch this disease change them. Physical materials include three-dimensional paper pop up sculptures as well as collaging of books, magazines, and photographs. I formed the title sentences by cutting up phrases in books and rearranging them to make new sentences.
